The Great Wall at Mutianyu

A few words and then we'll leave you with pictures of today.  Our guide picked us up at 9AM to drive us to the Great Wall at Mutianyu.  We picked this section after alot of research online because it has lower tourist numbers, great views, and a cable car up the mountain and a toboggan ride down.  The last two mainly for Maddux.  Even with those rides we still walked about a mile up and down the stairs at the wall.  It was chilly (low 30s) which was not too bad once we started walking.  It snowed as we were getting read to go on the toboggan ride so we had to wait for the snow showers to stop and the track to be dried.

The toboggans.....they go pretty fast!  The guy behind me actually bumped into me on the way down, we had to slow down for someone in front of us that was going very slow.  That was a little scary, but other than that it was alot of fun!

We thought we had adjusted some to the time zone, but as I type this (10PM), but Maddux and Jacob are asleep.  Maddux has been asleep since we got back from the Great Wall around 2:30, and Jacob since around 5:30.  I think we may all be up and wide awake in the middle of the night!
