In Guangzhou

Yesterday we flew to Guangzhou after getting Nola's passport about 2 hours before our flight - nothing like last minute!!  Nola was soooo excited to get on the plane and fly and she did great, slept most of the way.  But her ears started hurting her really bad as we were descending and we could not get her to eat candy or lollipops, definitely will have to work on that translation for the flights home.

Everything here is good - we are at the Garden Hotel since the White Swan on Shamian Island is closed for renovations.  The hotel is good and within walking distance of alot of things - including a McDonalds which we all had for dinner last night!  There is also a small playroom for the kids, and a huge pool which we hope to check out later today.

It's hot here and humid, very different from Xining.  The kids both had a bath last night, which they loved.  The bath is attached to the shower so they could make as big of a mess as they wanted.  There is also a window on the other side of the bathtub so we can watch them!

Nola is doing better with Jacob he even got to hold her for a few minutes today!

Today is Nola's medical appointment and we were told that the TB test has changed from a skin test to a blood draw and we will not be allowed to go in with her for that part.  Hoping that she does okay, but expecting some tears today.

Some pictures from Xining before we left and the kids last night.
