Shopping & Shamian Island

Today was a shopping day and we went to most of the same areas we went to with Maddux - the shopping mall where we bought him shoes and CDs.  Today we got Nola some pearls for when she is older.   Jacob almost tried cat poop coffee (can't remember the real name) but it was $45 a cup so he decided not too....

We went to Shamian Island to visit the shops and get some items for Nola - dresses, chop (her name with a stamp and ink), had lunch at Subway and took pictures at the statue.  The island was much different this time without all the adoption families, since we all stay in Guangzhou now and not on the island.  Only a few shops were left open for adoption purposes.

Nola is asleep now for a MUCH needed nap.  We skipped a nap yesterday and don't want to repeat that!  Hoping the rain will hold off and we will get to try the pool.  Tomorrow is our consulate appointment, our last official appointment, to finalize the paperwork on the US side to obtain her visa.
